==Overview==

Acolytes devote their lives to serve the church and to help others. They call upon the powers of the divine to aid their allies, heal their wounds, empower them with holy magic, and help weaken the forces of evil. Acolytes begin their training at the Church located in the north east direction of [[Prontera|Protera]].

Acolytes are unable to wield bladed weapons, as this is forbidden by the church so they are limited to using Rods/Staves and Maces as weapons. Acolyte skills are mostly supportive in nature, as they have the basic recovery spells, support and mobility spells, and can remove some status ailments. They also have skills that improve their capabilities against the demon and undead races. Acolyte skills as well consume a lot of SP so it is difficult for them at this point to support large parties.

An acolyte may choose to further specialize in using divine magic as a Priest or engage in a more intensive physical and mental training to become a Monk.
